Yoox Launches Yoox Marketplace in Europe

Yoox, the internationally recognized off-price retailer based in Italy, has recently launched the Yoox Marketplace in Europe. This new addition to their business model provides customers with an even wider array of products, with over 700 brands and 150,000 new items across various categories like jewelry, ready-to-wear fashion, accessories, and footwear.

As part of Yoox Net-A-Porter, a division of Richemont, Yoox has already established itself as a dominant force in online retail, offering a comprehensive selection of brands and products on its webstore. However, the introduction of the marketplace model signals a significant strategic shift. Yoox aims to enhance the customer experience and expand its brand and product offerings through this new approach.

In addition to benefiting customers, the adoption of the marketplace model is expected to strengthen relationships with prestigious brand partners by giving them greater flexibility in logistics and product assortment. This allows brands to connect with customers on the platform more efficiently.

The marketplace, which complements Yoox’s curated brand portfolio, will showcase over 700 brands, many of which will be available on the store for the first time. This expansion allows Yoox to diversify its product range and introduce new categories to its platform. Notably, renowned fashion and streetwear retailers like Mengotti and Papini will be featured as part of the expanded assortment.

Initially launched in almost 30 European countries, the Yoox Marketplace has plans for future expansion into the US, Middle East and North Africa, as well as Japan. Noteworthy is the marketplace’s commitment to featuring sustainable brands that adhere to the ‘Good On You’ brand rating system, which informs customers about responsible fashion brands and their products.

In addition to benefiting customers, the integration of the marketplace will support small businesses and emerging brands, enabling them to connect with Yoox’s vast global customer base. Notable brands such as Apple&Figs, CHPO, and Siguelsol are set to be featured on the platform.

Yoox’s overarching objective is to offer over one million products on its online store, and the launch of the Yoox Marketplace represents a significant step towards achieving this milestone.
