Winners of Graduate Fashion Foundation’s prestigious portfolio awards announced

Graduate Fashion Week has recently announced the winners of the Graduate Fashion Foundation’s prestigious portfolio awards. Industry experts from well-known fashion businesses, including Gymshark, M&S, ASOS, Burberry, Vivienne Westwood, and Superdry, were responsible for judging the awards. This year’s winners cover a wide range of categories that are highly relevant to the modern fashion industry.

One of the winners was Bethan Jones from the University of South Wales who was awarded the Fashion Portfolio Award by ASOS. Taneshe Oliver-Longe from Cambridge School of Visual and Performing Arts won the Fashion Concept Award, and Juliette Wells Gray from Kingston University received the Sportswear and Leisurewear Award. Francesca Merrick from Manchester Fashion Institute was awarded the Range Plan title, and Garance Priez from Birmingham City University won the Childrenswear Award.

The Fashion Innovation Award was given to Zachary Fornelius from Arts University Bournemouth, while Amelia Dyer from Kingston University stood out in the Dame Zandra Rhodes Fashion Textiles Award category. Ruixin Wang from Ravensbourne won the Accessories title with support from YKK, and Matthew Jones from Northampton University took home the Footwear Award, supported by Size. Bing Bing Bai from Kingston University earned the Sustainable Trailblazer Collection Award.

Furthermore, considering the fashion industry’s emphasis on social change, the Shelter Fashion for Social Change Competition Prize was awarded to Kate McElduff from De Montfort University, and the Considered Fashion Award was given to Louise Rutter from the University of Staffordshire.

Apart from fashion design, winners were also announced in other categories. The Fashion Illustration Award saw joint winners Olivia Fletcher from Northumbria and Kyra Edwards from Kingston University. Haydn Brown, also from Northumbria, received the Fashion Communications Portfolio title. James Tresadern from the University of Central Lancashire was honored with the Fashion Marketing Award, while Paige Armstrong from Bournemouth took home the New Fashion Media Award. Torgeir Rorvik from Falmouth University won the Fashion Photography category, and Megan Boister from Bournemouth received the Terry Mansfield Fashion Publication Award. Levi Warren-Howard from Northumbria won the Culture and Heritage Award, Meerim Mamatova from Kingston University received the Face Excellence Prize, and Estelle Henry from De Montfort University was honored with the Fashion Styling and Creative Direction Award.
