Watches & Wonders Geneva Foundation

Watches & Wonders, the prestigious trade show known for its exceptional collection of watches and jewelry, is cementing its position as a global authority in the industry. Three renowned names in luxury timepieces, Rolex, Richemont, and Patek Philippe, have joined forces to create the Watches & Wonders Geneva Foundation. This non-profit corporation, based in Geneva, Switzerland, aims to promote the highest standards of watchmaking excellence worldwide.

Under the direction of the Watches & Wonders Geneva Foundation (WWGF), both physical and digital trade shows will be organized in Geneva and beyond. The primary goal is to showcase the most exquisite watches and jewelry while providing industry professionals and enthusiasts with the chance to explore the latest innovations. By establishing this foundation, Rolex, Richemont, and Patek Philippe are demonstrating their commitment to strengthening the watchmaking community and ensuring a thriving and sustainable industry.

The foundation will be overseen by a council, with Jean-Frédéric Dufour as president and Emmanuel Perrin as vice-president. Working closely with the founding brands, Dufour and Perrin will define the strategic direction of the foundation. The exhibitors’ committee, comprising representatives from participating brands, will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the trade show.

Matthieu Humair, the current CEO of Switzerland’s Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie, will play a crucial role as he takes on the same position at WWGF. With his expertise in the field of fine watchmaking, Humair will ensure that the foundation fulfills its mission of promoting excellence and innovation in the industry.

Looking ahead, preparations are already underway for the next edition of Watches & Wonders Geneva, scheduled from March 27 to April 2, 2023.
