Vogue Singapore to Launch in Partnership with Indochine Media

Condé Nast, the renowned publisher behind iconic fashion magazine Vogue, has exciting news for fashion lovers in Singapore – the upcoming launch of Vogue Singapore in partnership with Indochine Media. This move marks the 27th international edition of Vogue, further solidifying the brand’s global reach and influence in the fashion world.

Scheduled to debut in the fall of this year, Vogue Singapore will encompass a print issue in English, a dedicated website, and a strong presence on popular social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. This multi-platform approach is designed to tap into the growing interest in fashion within Singapore and position Vogue as a key player in the country’s luxury fashion landscape.

Interestingly, this isn’t Vogue’s first foray into the Singaporean market. The magazine previously had a Singapore edition in the 1990s, but faced challenges in establishing a lasting presence. However, with Singapore’s luxury fashion market now valued at nearly $1 billion USD, as reported by Statista in 2020, the timing seems right for Vogue to return and cater to the evolving tastes and trends in the region.

Wolfgang Blau, the Chief Operating Officer and President, International at Condé Nast, is excited about the role Vogue Singapore will play in showcasing local fashion design and talent not just in Singapore but across the region. The magazine aims to provide a platform for promoting these talents while offering a mix of regional and international fashion content to its readers.

While the appointment of an editor-in-chief for Vogue Singapore is still pending, the launch of Vogue Hong Kong in 2019 has set the stage for success. Singapore already hosts editions of other prominent fashion publications such as Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, Nylon, T: The New York Times Style Magazine, and L’Officiel, underscoring its reputation as a vibrant fashion hub in Asia. The upcoming arrival of Vogue Singapore is eagerly anticipated by fashion enthusiasts and industry insiders, expected to contribute to the growth and dynamism of Singapore’s fashion scene.
