Virgil Abloh Unveils First Louis Vuitton Men’s Campaign

Louis Vuitton’s men’s artistic director, Virgil Abloh, has just unveiled his highly-anticipated first advertising campaign for the renowned fashion house. This exciting campaign was revealed after his successful second fashion show at Paris menswear week and will be rolled out in three captivating parts from January to March. The theme of the campaign revolves around childhood and education, featuring adorable young models who are just two and three years old.

The debut campaign for Louis Vuitton stays true to the essence of the spring/summer 2019 collection that was presented earlier. With a lineup of prestigious photographers behind the lens, each part of the campaign captures a different aspect of the new summer collection. The initial chapter, titled “Infancy, Childhood, and Adolescence,” delves into the importance of child development in shaping adult personalities. Inez & Vinoodh beautifully captured the innocence and authenticity of childhood in the first set of images featuring children of varying ages.

Moving on to the second chapter, “The Painter’s Studio,” draws inspiration from a Gustave Courbet painting and is set to be unveiled in February. This part of the campaign features Abloh alongside his team, friends, and models dressed in ensembles from the latest collection. Lastly, the final phase, “School Teens,” slated for release in March, will showcase a collaboration with photographer Raimond Wouda. These images will spotlight the interactions between teenagers while highlighting the vibrant color-block T-shirts from Abloh’s spring/summer 2019 show.

Virgil Abloh’s debut campaign for Louis Vuitton truly exemplifies his creative brilliance and celebrates the unique values and concepts embodied in his latest collection. This campaign serves as a testament to Abloh’s innovative and forward-thinking approach to fashion, showcasing his exceptional vision in a visually stunning and thought-provoking manner.
