VIA Outlets, the operator of outlet villages in Europe, has announced the appointment of Thierry Seang as its new Investment Director. In this role, Seang will be instrumental in driving the company’s ambitious growth strategy, which involves defining VIA Outlets’ inorganic growth strategy across Europe and executing real estate transactions. Seang brings a wealth of experience to the position, having previously served as Vice-President of Investments at private equity firm Maple Knoll Capital for six years. Prior to that, he worked as a Senior Analyst at JLL’s capital markets team, where he facilitated commercial real estate investment transactions and provided advisory services to a range of clients including corporates, banks, and government institutions.
Furthermore, Seang holds Masters degrees in urban policies from Sciences Po Paris and in civil engineering from Ecole Normale Supérieure Paris-Saclay, adding a strong academic background to his professional expertise.
According to VIA Outlets, Seang’s appointment marks a pivotal moment in the company’s organic growth strategy. This strategy focuses on three key elements: Remerchandising, Remodelling, and Remarketing. The objective is to elevate all 11 outlets in the company’s portfolio and maintain their position as premier shopping destinations for customers.
Additionally, the company aims to achieve inorganic growth through carefully selected acquisitions and developments. VIA Outlets will assess potential acquisitions and developments based on three key factors: Catchment, Connectivity, and Competition. This approach will enable the company to strategically expand its portfolio.
