Valextra Collaborates with Bethan Laura Wood

Italian leather goods brand Valextra has joined forces with British designer Bethan Laura Wood for an exciting collaboration in their spring/summer 2018 collection. In celebration of this unique partnership, Valextra has opened a pop-up store solely dedicated to this project at the renowned Bon Marché Rive Gauche. With only a limited time remaining, don’t miss the opportunity to explore this fantastic installation that pays tribute to the golden age of pop art.

This collaboration showcases a vibrant range of bags, featuring meticulous attention to shape and detail. Bethan Laura Wood brings an eclectic approach to the iconic Iside bag by introducing seven different handles, four different clasps, and three pocket designs for the Passepartout line.

The Toothpaste collection is a melting pot of influences, as described by Wood herself: “The Toothpaste project is somewhere between Neapolitan ice cream and your father’s 1970s ties, mixed with a hint of mint toothpaste.” Drawing inspiration from various sources, Wood incorporates elements from the logo of the 1968 Mexico Olympics and the typographic form of French graphic designers M/M (Paris). Additionally, she draws inspiration from the vibrant art of British artist Eduardo Paolozzi, including his paintings, engravings, and sculptures.

The Toothpaste pop-up store by Valextra will be open until the end of March at the Bon Marché Rive Gauche in Paris. Don’t miss the chance to immerse yourself in this exciting collaboration.
