Valentino Signs Groundbreaking Agreement with Trade Unions

Valentino, the esteemed luxury fashion label, has recently finalized a three-year agreement with Italian trade unions Filctem Cgil, Femca Cisl, and Uiltec Uil, along with its employee representatives. This groundbreaking agreement introduces a result-based bonus for Valentino’s fashion division workers in Italy. The agreement, signed at Valentino’s Rome headquarters, aims to acknowledge the company’s growth and related benefits if specific taxation objectives are achieved. This new deal serves as a supplement to the regulatory and economic conditions that were previously established.

In addition to last year’s agreement, the latest deal includes three additional measures that further enhance the benefits for Valentino’s employees. Starting from the year 2023, Valentino will pay the first month of voluntary parental leave at 100% of the employees’ actual salary, surpassing the legally mandated 80%. The second month of parental leave will be paid at 80% instead of the current 30%. Furthermore, the allowance for medical examinations, initially set at 16 hours, has now been extended to cover not only the examination time but also the commuting time to and from work. Lastly, a generous €60 gross allowance will be granted for each working day that requires an overnight stay outside the office, specifically for fashion or look-book events.

The trade unions have expressed their utmost satisfaction with this groundbreaking agreement, describing it as innovative and advantageous for both the well-being of staff members and their purchasing power. They highlight the collaborative nature of Valentino’s industrial relations framework, emphasizing the company’s dedication to fostering a positive and supportive work environment.

Valentino continues to prioritize the welfare and remuneration of its employees, demonstrating its unwavering commitment to creating an exceptional and inclusive workplace. With this new agreement, the luxury fashion label aims to reward its dedicated workforce for their invaluable contributions to the growth and enduring success of the brand.
