Valentino Appoints Alessandro Beretta as CEO of Europe

Valentino, the renowned Italian luxury group, has made a significant move by appointing Alessandro Beretta as the new CEO of Europe. The decision comes as Valentino aims to expand its business in the region, focusing on both retail and wholesale channels. Beretta, who has an impressive career background with experience at Procter & Gamble and Nike, will report to Laurent Bergamo, Valentino’s Chief Commercial Officer responsible for the Americas, Europe, Middle East, and Brazil.

This appointment follows Valentino’s continued efforts to strengthen its position in the industry since the arrival of Chief Executive Jacopo Venturini in 2020, during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic. In response to the crisis, Valentino has made organizational changes and brought in new management personnel. Despite the obstacles posed by the pandemic, the fashion house managed to achieve a revenue of 1.23 billion euros last year, marking a 3% increase compared to pre-pandemic levels in 2019.

Beretta’s appointment as CEO of Europe is expected to have a significant impact on Valentino’s growth and success in the region. With his extensive experience in the consumer goods and sportswear sectors, Beretta brings valuable expertise and insights that will help drive the brand forward. Valentino remains committed to delivering exceptional products and experiences to its discerning clientele as the luxury industry continues to evolve.

Valentino’s strategic focus on expanding its business in Europe reflects the brand’s confidence in the region’s potential as a key market for luxury goods. With Beretta’s leadership, the company aims to strengthen its presence, enhance its retail and wholesale operations, and further establish itself as a leading player in the European luxury market.

This appointment is a testament to Valentino’s ongoing commitment to excellence and innovation. Through strategic leadership and a customer-centric approach, the brand continues to redefine luxury in the fashion industry. With its strong heritage and unwavering dedication to quality and craftsmanship, Valentino remains poised for continued success in an ever-changing global market.
