Tous 2018 Achievements

2018 has been a banner year for Tous, the renowned Spanish jewellery brand, as it achieved remarkable sales figures totaling €466 million. This represents a substantial growth of 4.5% compared to the previous year, showcasing the brand’s resilience and popularity in the global market.

One of the notable milestones for Tous in 2018 was reaching the significant mark of 700 stores worldwide, an impressive feat that solidified its position as a prominent global brand operating in 56 countries. The brand’s expansion has been particularly robust in key markets such as Canada, South Korea, Honduras, and Kuwait, reflecting Tous’s growing international appeal and success.

Alba Tous, the President of Tous, expressed her satisfaction with the brand’s performance, highlighting the opening of 90 new stores across the globe and the sustained growth in sales. Tous’s strong presence outside of Spain, where 460 of its stores are located, underscores its global reach and influence in the jewellery industry.

In a strategic move towards digital transformation and internationalization, Tous focused on enhancing its online presence in 2018. The brand witnessed a significant 43% increase in online sales, making it the third-largest market after Spain and Mexico. Tous also launched new e-commerce platforms in five markets, expanding its digital footprint and accessibility to consumers in 19 countries.

With the appointment of new CEO Carlos Soler-Duffo, Tous is prioritizing digital innovation to meet the evolving preferences of modern consumers. The recent revamp in senior management, with Carolina de la Calzada overseeing online sales and Marta Tous leading as the creative director, positions Tous for sustained success in the competitive retail landscape.

As Tous gears up to celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2020, the brand remains dedicated to its heritage and values. While jewellery remains at the core of its offerings, Tous has diversified its product range to include leather goods, eyewear, watches, and fragrances. The establishment of a jewellery school in 2017 underscores Tous’s commitment to preserving traditional craftsmanship in a contemporary context, ensuring that its legacy continues to thrive in the future.
