Top Luxury Brands with Highest Resale Value

According to a recent report by The RealReal, Hermès, Gucci, and Canada Goose have been identified as the top brands with the highest resale value. These brands have consistently outperformed others in terms of retaining their worth in the secondary market, making them attractive options for those looking to give luxury gifts this holiday season.

In the realm of women’s fashion, Hermès reigns supreme with its iconic Birkin, Kelly, and Constance bags. These pieces have seen a notable seven percent increase in resale value year after year, solidifying Hermès’ position as a top contender in the luxury market. Goyard and select items from Moncler also stand out with impressive resale values of 80 percent and up to 90 percent, respectively.

On the flip side, brands like Tory Burch, Miu Miu, and Tom Ford have experienced a decline in resale value, signaling a shift in consumer preferences. However, Hermès’ Constance bag has surged in popularity, boasting a 67 percent increase in average prices. Gucci’s GG Marmont matelassé bag and Louis Vuitton’s Empreinte Porchette Métis bag are also holding strong, with resale values hovering around 96 percent and 95 percent of their original prices, respectively.

In the men’s category, Canada Goose leads the pack with an impressive 82 percent resale value, followed by Off-White with a 12 percent increase year over year. Meanwhile, brands like Kenzo, Chrome Hearts, and Dior Homme have seen declines in their resale value.

Across various categories, brands like Rimowa, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Van Cleef, Cartier, Anita Ko, and Rolex have all been recognized for their strong resale values. Whether it’s luggage, sneakers, jewelry, or watches, these brands consistently hold their worth in the secondary market.

Overall, Hermès, Gucci, and Canada Goose continue to dominate the resale market, making them popular choices for holiday shoppers seeking luxury items that hold their value over time. For those looking to invest in items with lasting appeal, these brands are at the top of the list.
