Tommy Hilfiger Fashion Frontier Challenge Finalists Announced

Tommy Hilfiger is thrilled to announce the six finalists for the 2019 Tommy Hilfiger Fashion Frontier Challenge, marking the second year since its inception in 2018. This groundbreaking initiative, spearheaded by PVH Corp.-owned brand Tommy Hilfiger, is dedicated to championing start-up and scale-up businesses that are at the forefront of driving inclusive and positive change within the fashion industry.

The six finalists have been carefully chosen to advance to the final event, scheduled to be held on February 13 at Tommy Hilfiger’s innovative Campus of the Future in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. At this highly anticipated event, the finalists will have the opportunity to showcase their pioneering business concepts to a distinguished panel of judges, which includes renowned industry figures such as Tommy Hilfiger himself, Ankiti Bose, co-founder and CEO of Zilingo, and journalist Noor Tagouri.

Among the impressive lineup of finalists are visionary companies like Apon Wellbeing from Bangladesh, Stony Creek Colors from the US, A Beautiful Mess from the Netherlands, Lab 141 from the US, Sudara from India, and Constant & Zoe from France. These cutting-edge businesses are actively working on a diverse array of projects, ranging from providing crucial health services to factory workers, to designing sustainable clothing tailored for individuals with disabilities.

The two eventual winners of the challenge will each receive a substantial €150,000 in funding for their business proposals, along with a year-long mentorship program guided by esteemed global experts from Tommy Hilfiger and INSEAD. Additionally, the winners will have the unique opportunity to partake in the esteemed INSEAD Social Entrepreneurship Program (ISEP). An additional €10,000 will be allocated to the finalist team deemed the “Audience Favorite Vote” winner.

Tommy Hilfiger expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming final round of the Fashion Frontier Challenge, underscoring the vital importance of supporting innovative solutions within the fashion industry. This event builds upon PVH’s recent green initiatives for 2020, including a substantial donation of $1 million to Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business to establish an academic hub focused on corporate responsibility and sustainability.

The Fashion Frontier Challenge epitomizes Tommy Hilfiger’s unwavering commitment to propelling positive change within the fashion industry and providing robust support to entrepreneurs who are dedicated to shaping a better future for all.
