TM Lewin Revamps E-commerce Site and Plans to Open Flagship Stores

TM Lewin, the renowned shirtmaker, has launched its newly revamped e-commerce site just six weeks after being acquired in a rescue deal. The website currently showcases the brand’s spring/summer collection, with plans to introduce more products in the coming weeks. This online relaunch marks the first step in the brand’s journey towards regaining its presence in the market and will soon be accompanied by the opening of flagship stores in key locations.

The new owners of TM Lewin are fully dedicated to driving the future growth and success of the business, with a strong emphasis on reclaiming its position as a leading provider of high-quality menswear, specifically known for its shirts and tailored items. Managing Director James Kearns expressed his commitment to revitalizing TM Lewin’s standing in both the UK and international markets.

Over the past six weeks, Kearns and his team have worked tirelessly to ensure the online relaunch sets the stage for long-term prosperity. However, they acknowledge that the continued support of their loyal customer base is vital to achieving this goal. Kearns expressed gratitude for the unwavering support and enthusiasm of their customers and unveiled the new TM Lewin online store, promising to provide updates on the progress made in the coming months.

With 15 years of experience working with renowned brands that have successfully operated both physical and online stores, such as Marks & Spencer, Tesco, and Boden, Kearns brings a wealth of expertise to his role. His knowledge and skills will play a crucial role in revitalizing TM Lewin and positioning it for future growth.

TM Lewin has encountered significant challenges in recent years. After Bain Capital put the business up for sale during the first lockdown in 2020, it was ultimately acquired by Torque Brands. However, the new owners soon faced difficulties with rent agreements and the company’s financial stability, leading to a pre-pack administration and the closure of all physical stores. Subsequently, TM Lewin went through another administration process in the spring and was acquired by a unit owned by Petra Group.

Despite the obstacles faced in the past, TM Lewin is now focused on rebuilding its brand and reconnecting with its customers through a robust online presence and the opening of physical flagship stores. With the dedication and expertise of the new owners, the future looks promising for this well-established provider of menswear.
