Threadology Receives Funding Boost from HSBC UK to Expand Operations

London-based formalwear supplier and retailer, Threadology, has received a significant funding boost from HSBC UK as it looks to expand its operations in response to a surge in demand. With weddings and formal events making a comeback after the easing of pandemic restrictions, Threadology has experienced a sharp increase in customer demand. The funding from HSBC UK will allow the company to meet this rising demand and support its future growth plans by increasing its stock imports.

In addition to the funding, Threadology has secured an exclusive partnership with Frasers Group, called ‘Future in Formal’. This partnership further cements Threadology’s position in the market and demonstrates its commitment to being a disruptive force in the tailoring industry.

Threadology goes beyond being a supplier and retailer and also owns several tailoring brands, including the popular online platform TwistedTailor. TwistedTailor offers both men’s and women’s tailoring, catering to a diverse range of customers. Threadology also holds the formalwear licenses for Simon Carter and Richard James Mayfair, expanding its portfolio even further.

Jason Gerrard, CEO of Threadology, expressed his gratitude to HSBC UK for understanding and supporting the company’s business model and growth ambitions within the sector. He emphasized the rapid and consistent growth across all of their brands and the excitement in partnering with the Frasers Group to solidify Threadology’s position as a disruptor in the tailoring market this year.

Chris Chambers, HSBC UK area director for London City Business Banking, acknowledged the swift expansion of the formalwear sector and expressed his delight in supporting Threadology’s ongoing development. He highlighted the business’s ambitious growth plans and their excitement in supporting what promises to be an exciting future.

With the support of HSBC UK’s funding and the exclusive partnership with Frasers Group, Threadology is well-positioned to capitalize on the growing demand for formalwear in the market. As weddings and formal events become more prevalent, Threadology aims to establish itself as a leading supplier and retailer in the industry. Its commitment to innovation and disrupting traditional tailoring practices will play a crucial role in its success moving forward.
