Thélios Announces Partnership with TAG Heuer

Thélios, the luxury eyewear producer owned by LVMH, has announced an exciting new partnership with Swiss watch-maker TAG Heuer. LVMH, which acquired TAG Heuer in 1999, has decided to re-enter the eyewear market after an eight-year absence. Under this partnership, Thélios will oversee the development, production, and distribution of TAG Heuer’s optical glasses and sunglasses, following the same successful approach it has taken with other prestigious LVMH brands.

The eagerly anticipated first collection resulting from this collaboration will be unveiled at two prestigious events. The reveal will take place in Miami on January 29 and in Milan on February 1, creating an air of excitement and anticipation among eyewear enthusiasts worldwide. The focus of this partnership is to capture TAG Heuer’s avant-garde spirit and high-tech performance, which were hallmarks of its previous eyewear collections. By leveraging Thélios’s expertise and commitment to quality, the new eyewear collection aims to redefine luxury eyewear standards and set new trends.

TAG Heuer’s initial foray into the eyewear market occurred in 2002 through a licensing agreement with French producer Logo. Unfortunately, Logo faced financial difficulties and went bankrupt in 2016, leading to the discontinuation of TAG Heuer’s eyewear line. However, with this collaboration with Thélios, TAG Heuer is making a brilliant comeback, reestablishing its presence in the eyewear market.

Frédéric Arnault, CEO of TAG Heuer, expressed his pride in the brand’s return to the eyewear industry and emphasized the company’s dedication to revolutionize the category. TAG Heuer plans to incorporate revolutionary designs and cutting-edge materials into their eyewear, aiming to disrupt the market with their innovative approach.

Alessandro Zanardo, CEO of Thélios, warmly welcomed TAG Heuer’s entry into the eyewear market, recognizing the brand’s excellence, high-end design, and precision that align perfectly with Thélios’s own values. Thélios is now responsible for the eyewear collections of 11 prestigious LVMH labels, including renowned brands such as Dior, Fendi, Celine, and Givenchy. This partnership further solidifies Thélios’s position as a leading producer and distributor of luxury eyewear, reinforcing their commitment to providing exceptional eyewear options for discerning customers.

In addition to the partnership with TAG Heuer, Thélios recently expanded its portfolio by acquiring eyewear brands Vuarnet and Barton Perreira. With these strategic acquisitions and collaborations, Thélios is well-positioned to continue its growth trajectory within the luxury eyewear industry.
