The Webster Welcomes New CEO and Chief Brand Officer in Executive Leadership Team Overhaul

The Webster, a renowned luxury multibrand retailer headquartered in the United States, recently made major changes to its executive leadership team based in New York. These changes involve the appointment of a new CEO, Laurent Malecaze, and the introduction of the position of chief brand officer, filled by Stephane Jaspar, formerly of Stella McCartney. Both Malecaze and Jaspar will be reporting directly to the founder and creative director, Laure Heriard-Dubreuil.

The decision to make these strategic appointments aims to enhance the brand-customer relationship and drive the company’s future expansion plans. These plans include diversifying product offerings, opening new retail locations, and forging collaborations in design. Malecaze, an alumnus of HEC Paris, has been part of The Webster since 2015, serving as president and earlier as chief operating officer. His background at Bain & Company brings invaluable expertise to his new role as CEO.

Founding creative director Laure Heriard-Dubreuil expressed enthusiasm about the recent additions to the leadership team, underscoring the exciting prospects and partnerships on the horizon. With Jaspar joining The Webster after a successful stint at Stella McCartney, where he led as chief marketing officer for 16 years, the company gains a wealth of experience in overseeing communication, marketing efforts, visual branding, sustainable practices, and consumer engagement across various product lines.

Since its inception in 2009 in Miami, The Webster has significantly expanded its footprint to include locations in Bal Harbour, Houston, Costa Mesa, and New York, in addition to its robust online presence. Plans are underway for a new store in Los Angeles set to open in 2020, symbolizing the next phase of growth and innovation for the company. With its fresh executive team steering the way, The Webster is poised for exciting new endeavors as it continues to evolve and captivate the luxury retail landscape.
