The Very Group Appoints Jessica Myers as New Chief Marketing Officer

The Very Group, which owns popular online retailers very.co.uk and Littlewoods, has recently appointed Jessica Myers as their new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Myers, who will officially start her role on October 3rd, brings extensive experience in brand and marketing functions.

Before joining The Very Group, Myers held a prominent position on the executive committee at Metro Bank, where she spearheaded the establishment of the company’s first-ever brand and marketing function. Her instrumental contributions included shaping the brand strategy, developing transformative marketing capabilities, and implementing effective brand and marketing communications that significantly contributed to Metro Bank’s growth as a challenger bank in the UK.

Prior to her time at Metro Bank, Myers led the brand team at NatWest, where she oversaw the management of ten different brands. She has also held marketing and brand positions at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia in Sydney and American Express.

Myers’ transition from the banking industry to the fashion and general merchandise retail sector is expected to bring a fresh perspective and insightful expertise to The Very Group. Her outstanding achievements in marketing have been recognized and celebrated, including being named one of Marketing Week’s top 100 most effective marketers in the UK and securing a prestigious 2022 EMEA Fellowship for The Marketing Academy.

As the new Chief Marketing Officer at The Very Group, Myers will be responsible for leading the marketing, public relations, and creative teams. Her primary objective will be to further establish the digital retailer as the preferred online destination for families in the UK and Ireland. Robbie Feather, the Managing Director of The Very Group, expressed his admiration for Myers, describing her as a thoughtful, commercial, and impactful marketer and leader.
