The Onward Luxury Group’s Collaboration with Elie Saab

The Onward Luxury Group (OLG), the European luxury subsidiary of the Japanese group Onward, is making waves in the fashion world despite challenges brought on by the Covid-19 crisis. After the loss of the Mulberry license, OLG has rebounded with two major projects that are sure to solidify its position in the industry.

FashionNetwork.com has exclusively learned that OLG has recently inked a deal with the iconic designer Elie Saab. The collaboration initially began with the production of Elie Saab’s ready-to-wear collections in OLG’s factory in Bergamo, Italy. Building on the success of this partnership, OLG has now expanded to include accessories, specifically focusing on footwear and handbags for the esteemed Elie Saab label. CEO Fabio Ducci expressed his enthusiasm for the new venture, highlighting the significance of the license deal in enhancing the accessories lines for the renowned designer.

Operating from its base in Milan with production facilities in Tuscany and Lombardy, OLG boasts a portfolio of prestigious labels, including Jil Sander and Moreau Paris, and licenses for other prominent brands like Rochas. The group will take on the production and distribution of Elie Saab’s accessories for the next five years, starting with the upcoming Spring/Summer 2021 collection.

In parallel with its collaboration with Elie Saab, OLG is preparing for the launch of its own e-commerce platform, Blancah. The online store will serve as a curated showcase for a diverse range of brands under the OLG umbrella, including F_wd, Carlotha Ray, Joseph, and licensed collections from JW Anderson, See by Chloé, Proenza Schouler, Francesco Russo, Maria Luca, Brock Collection, and Federico Curradi. The highly anticipated launch of Blancah is scheduled for the end of July, accompanied by an extensive social media marketing campaign to generate buzz around the platform.

To further elevate the digital shopping experience, OLG has partnered with NuOrder, a leading digital sales solution platform, to create an innovative virtual showroom for Blancah. These strategic initiatives underscore OLG’s commitment to embracing the evolving landscape of luxury fashion and positioning itself for a successful future amidst changing consumer behaviors and preferences.
