The Colbert Committee Expands Membership to Include Prestigious Brands

The Colbert Committee, an association dedicated to promoting French luxury worldwide, has recently expanded its membership to include six new prestigious brands from various sectors. This brings the total number of committee members to 90, further enriching its extensive catalog of high-end brands.

Among the new additions to the committee is Les Airelles Courchevel, a luxurious five-star hotel located in the Jardin Alpin of one of France’s most exclusive ski resorts. With 47 rooms and suites, a spa, and multiple restaurants, Les Airelles Courchevel has established itself as one of the best mountain hotels in the world, as recognized by Condé Nast Traveler in 2015. The hotel is part of the Airelles group, which also recently opened Le Grand Contrôle hotel complex at the Palace of Versailles.

Delamain, a brand founded in 1824, specializes in old cognacs from the Grande Champagne region. The brand prides itself on the meticulous aging process, offering cognacs dating back several decades that showcase the true value of time.

In addition to cognac, olive oil also takes center stage with the inclusion of Château d’Estoublon in the committee. With a history spanning over five centuries, Château d’Estoublon boasts 120 hectares of olive groves in the Bouches-du-Rhône region. The brand’s dedication to French luxury has been recognized internationally, winning the New York International Olive Oil Competition last year.

Expanding the musical section of the committee is Devialet, a company specializing in acoustic engineering since 2007. With over 200 patents, Devialet produces high-quality amplifiers, speakers, and earphones. The brand has established a strong presence worldwide, with distribution in countries such as the United States, India, the United Arab Emirates, and South Africa.

Féau Boiseries, a renowned house established in 1875, excels in designing exquisite woodwork decorations inspired by 17th-century architects. Their craftsmanship can be seen in notable locations such as the Grand Apartments of the Hotel de Crillon.

Lastly, the Institute of France, established in 1795, joins the Colbert Committee as a member. The Institute is well-known for its support of the five academies, including the French Academy, the Inscriptions and Belles-Lettres Academy, the Science Academy, the Fine Arts Academy, and the Moral and Political Sciences Academy. With a membership of 500 academicians, members, and foreign correspondents, the Institute of France plays a vital role in promoting and preserving the country’s rich heritage, which includes esteemed landmarks like Château de Chantilly and the Mazarine Library.
