The Co.Lab Collaboration: Selfridges x Highsnobiety

Selfridges and Highsnobiety have come together for an exciting and groundbreaking collaboration known as The Co.Lab. This innovative retail concept, taking place at Selfridges’ Corner Shop from January 6 to February 9, is set to revolutionize the way we experience fashion and design. The Co.Lab features carefully curated product drops and exclusive collaborations with top fashion labels such as Prada, Colette, and Maison Margiela, blending luxury fashion with streetwear, art, technology, and design.

The Co.Lab is a dynamic and versatile space that will unveil new collections weekly. Sebastian Manes, the Executive Buying & Merchandising Director at Selfridges, expressed that this partnership represents a first-of-its-kind endeavor for the store. The inaugural release includes limited edition Highsnobiety merchandise supporting the documentary Colette, Mon Amour, co-produced by Highsnobiety. This special collection, designed in partnership with Colette’s co-founder Sarah Andelmann, will be available both in-store and online at Selfridges, as well as on Highsnobiety’s platform.

In addition to the exclusive fashion collaborations, Selfridges will be hosting screenings of the Colette, Mon Amour documentary as part of their recent foray into cinema. Upcoming collaborations to look out for include Alyx by Matthew Williams on January 13, featuring tie-ins with Bang & Olufsen and Moncler. Sotheby’s will unveil a co-branded Old Masters collection on January 20, followed by exclusive releases from Prada on January 27 and Maison Margiela on February 6.

Moreover, The Co.Lab is committed to sustainability with the inclusion of a pop-up coffee shop named New Ground. This coffee shop offers ethically sourced and sustainable coffee while providing ex-offenders with opportunities to establish sustainable careers.

Sebastian Manes lauded the collaboration with Highsnobiety for its cultural significance and multi-disciplinary approach, engaging customers through various digital components, film, art, and premium products. CEO of Highsnobiety, David Fischer, highlighted the seamless integration of their storytelling expertise with Selfridges’ prowess in creating immersive physical spaces.

The marketing strategy for this venture involves PR initiatives and online editorials by Highsnobiety, enriching the narratives behind each collection and captivating a global audience. This exceptional partnership between Highsnobiety and Selfridges is set to redefine the retail landscape in 2020.
