In just under a week, there have been nearly 2,000 trades of the collection on StockX, with prices skyrocketing to unprecedented levels. On average, these pieces have been traded for around $900, a staggering 250% above their retail price. Resale prices have varied, ranging from $816 to $1,040. Among the collection, the most sought-after piece is the Bioceramic MoonSwatch Mission to the Moon, which is currently being resold for an average price of $995, almost four times its original retail price of $260. However, it is the Uranus version that holds the title for the most valuable piece, with an average price of $1,040.
The demand for the Swatch x Omega collaboration has surpassed that of popular sneaker and streetwear releases on StockX. On March 26, “Swatch x Omega” was one of the top 10 search terms on the platform, surpassing terms like Yeezy 350, Jordan 11, and Supreme. It was also the second most-traded collaboration on that day, only falling short to the Nike Air Max x Concepts release, which coincided with Nike Air Max Day.
StockX anticipates that the trade volume for the Swatch x Omega collaboration will continue to increase once it becomes available online, potentially causing a decrease in resale prices in the short term. However, the tremendous demand for this collaboration is expected to result in significant long-term price premiums. Fans and collectors are eagerly awaiting the online release of the Swatch x Omega MoonSwatch collection, and it is expected to continue making waves in the resale market.
