Sunspel Appoints Raul Verdicchi as CEO

Sunspel, the distinguished British luxury brand that has been in operation since 1860, has made a significant addition to its leadership team by appointing Raul Verdicchi as its new CEO. Verdicchi brings an impressive track record of over 20 years in the luxury and fashion industry, with extensive experience in finance, operational management, business development, and customer experience.

Prior to joining Sunspel, Verdicchi held the position of Chief Commercial Officer at AlphaTauri, a prominent fashion label. Before that, he occupied key roles at the Zegna luxury group, where he served as the Regional Director of Western Europe and General Manager for Korea. Furthermore, Verdicchi has a strong foundation in audit and strategy consulting, having worked with prestigious firms like Deloitte and Accenture, with a focus on the luxury and fashion sectors.

Nicholas Brooke, who has been the owner and CEO of Sunspel since 2005, will now assume the role of Executive Chairman. Brooke expressed his confidence in Verdicchi, emphasizing his extensive expertise and deep understanding of brands. He believes Verdicchi’s appointment will be instrumental in driving Sunspel’s future growth.

Sunspel is renowned for its collection of timeless menswear pieces, which includes the iconic T-shirt, polo shirt, and boxer shorts. A notable aspect of the brand is its unwavering commitment to British craftsmanship, evidenced by its presence in the same factory since 1937. Over the years, Sunspel has exhibited intelligent and consistent growth, evolving into an international luxury casualwear brand with a strong presence across multiple channels.

Verdicchi is excited to contribute to the brand’s expansion on a global scale and is eager to share Sunspel’s unique story. As he takes on the role of CEO, he aims to leverage his extensive experience to further strengthen Sunspel’s position in the luxury fashion industry.
