StockX Expands to Paris with First Physical Retail Concession at Modes

StockX, the popular US sneaker e-tailer, has expanded its operations to Paris by opening its first physical retail concession at Modes, a multibrand luxury retailer on avenue Montaigne. The collaboration will feature a curated selection of StockX’s most coveted products, known as ‘grails,’ valued at over $750. These products include iconic styles such as the Louis Vuitton Nike Air Force 1 Low, Nike Air Yeezy 2 Red October, Jordan 1 Retro Low Dior, Adidas Human Race NMD Pharrell x Chanel, and the Nike Dunk Low Retro Pandas.

The display at Modes will be regularly updated to showcase the most popular products across StockX’s diverse range, which includes sneakers, apparel, and collectibles. This partnership provides StockX customers with another convenient way to purchase highly sought-after items from around the world.

Deena Bahri, CMO at StockX, expressed excitement about expanding into Paris, stating that the city’s reputation as a fashion capital made it the perfect location for the company’s next steps in retail. Bahri also highlighted that the collaboration with Modes, with its strong position in fashion and culture, will take StockX’s retail experiences to the next level and provide customers with another quick and easy way to purchase coveted items.

With offices in Hong Kong, London, New York, and Tokyo, StockX operates globally and allows vendors to deliver sold items for authentication and payment. Since its launch in 2016, StockX has grown into a platform selling hundreds of brands across various categories. The company currently employs around 1,500 people and operates 13 authentication centers worldwide.

Aldo Carpinteri, founder and CEO of Modes, emphasized the creative and innovative nature of their boutiques. Modes aims to offer cutting-edge projects to an international audience in iconic locations like avenue Montaigne in Paris. With over 180 employees and a multi-channel retail network in Italy, France, and Switzerland, Modes operates different store concepts, including women’s and men’s Modes stores, MiniModes children’s stores, and various franchised monobrand stores. The Milanese store at Piazza Risorgimento 8 has recently expanded to over 1,000 square meters.
