The campaign has received overwhelming support from a slew of influential figures, including Gwyneth Paltrow, Pink, Drew Barrymore, and Jimmy Fallon, who have all joined forces to protect this vulnerable ecosystem.
Participating in the campaign is simple yet impactful – individuals are invited to dedicate a tree to a loved one and nominate others to do the same by using the hashtag #ThereSheGrows. By engaging in this challenge, Stella McCartney aims to shine a spotlight on the ancient rainforest, which is currently under threat due to destructive human activities such as logging and development.
Through the Stella McCartney Cares Foundation, the luxury fashion brand has already made a generous contribution on behalf of participants. Moreover, individuals are encouraged to make donations to support Canopy, a renowned environmental non-profit organization committed to the conservation of endangered forests for nearly two decades.
The initiative kicked off with Stella McCartney herself dedicating a tree to her mother, Linda, and calling on Gwyneth Paltrow to carry the torch. The campaign is set to reach its crescendo during the label’s Winter 2019 show on March 4th.
