Stella McCartney Appoints Amandine Ohayon as CEO

Stella McCartney, renowned for its environmentally friendly practices, has recently appointed Amandine Ohayon as its new CEO. Ohayon brings a wealth of experience from her previous role as CEO of Pronovias, making her an excellent fit for the luxury and beauty sectors within Stella McCartney.

Ohayon’s impressive career in the fashion industry began in 1998 as a Retail and Event Executive at Christian Lacroix in New York. She later joined L’Oréal in 1999, where she held multiple positions specializing in luxury skincare, fragrances, and cosmetics. Her most recent position within L’Oréal was as the Managing Director of the L’Oréal Luxe division for the UK and Ireland.

Having successfully brought discipline and rigor to Pronovias, Ohayon was instrumental in bolstering the company’s position in the luxury bridal industry through strategic acquisitions. Furthermore, she adeptly tackled the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, overseeing the sale of the company to Bain Capital.

Stella McCartney praised Ohayon’s leadership skills and extensive experience in global markets, highlighting her dedication to sustainable fashion. The brand’s founder and creative chief expressed enthusiasm about working alongside Ohayon to further enhance the company’s commitment to ethical practices and drive its growth.

In her new role as CEO, Ohayon intends to push the boundaries of innovation while aligning the company’s values with its business strategy. She shares a common goal with McCartney in advocating for sustainability within the fashion industry.

Gabriele Maggio, the previous CEO, has departed from the company after a successful four-year tenure. Stella McCartney expressed gratitude to Maggio for his contributions and wished him well in his future endeavors.

With Amandine Ohayon leading the way, Stella McCartney is primed to continue driving the sustainable fashion movement forward. This appointment signifies the brand’s commitment to pushing boundaries and setting a new industry standard.
