SMCP Dominates Contemporary Fashion Market with Strong Q2 Results

SMCP, the parent company of popular fashion brands Sandro, Maje, and Claudie Pierlot, has once again proven its dominance in the contemporary fashion market with its recent Q2 results. Described as “superb”, the company reported a remarkable 15.2% increase in currency-neutral sales, reaching a whopping €241.3 million in reported sales. This growth is a testament to the strong global appeal of SMCP’s brands.

In the first half of the year, all three brands saw a 5.8% increase in like-for-like sales, showcasing a consistent and strong performance both in offline stores and online. SMCP attributes much of its success to its robust digital strategy, with online sales now accounting for 14.3% of total sales.

Sandro, Maje, and Claudie Pierlot each experienced significant growth in sales during Q2. Sandro saw a 14.7% increase, Maje witnessed a 16.6% growth fueled by its 20th-anniversary celebrations, and Claudie Pierlot recorded a 13% sales increase along with the addition of 23 new stores to its portfolio.

While sales in France saw a slight decline, SMCP made up for it with strong international growth. Sales in Asia-Pacific surged by 47.7%, EMEA by 15.1%, and the Americas by 27.1%. This global expansion demonstrates SMCP’s ability to adapt and thrive in diverse markets.

Looking ahead, SMCP is confident in its continued success and expects a currency-neutral sales increase of between 11% and 13% for the full year. With its rapid expansion and innovative strategies, SMCP solidifies its position as a key player in the competitive contemporary fashion market.
