Simone Bellotti Appointed as Design Director of Bally

Simone Bellotti’s new role as the Design Director of Bally has been announced, further solidifying the luxury Swiss brand’s commitment to craftsmanship and innovation. Bellotti, who brings a wealth of experience from his previous positions at Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Bottega Veneta, and Gianfranco Ferré, is seen as the perfect fit for the position.

The appointment of Bellotti comes after the unexpected departure of Rhuigi Villaseñor, who served as the Creative Director for a brief period. Both Bally and Villaseñor have stated that the decision to part ways was mutual. Bellotti’s promotion to Design Director is a seamless transition, as he has already been working closely with the design studio team for the past nine months.

Nicolas Girotto, the CEO of Bally, has expressed his confidence in Bellotti, emphasizing that he will continue to interpret and revitalize Bally’s signature codes while honoring the brand’s legacy of craftsmanship. Under Girotto’s leadership, Bally is currently undergoing a strategic transformation, making the appointment of Bellotti even more significant.

Bellotti’s first collection for Bally will be unveiled at the SS24 fashion show during Milan Fashion Week in September. Although there are no specifics yet about the collection, Bellotti is known for his architectural design approach and meticulous attention to detail. His unique flair for drawing inspiration from art, photography, and music brings a sense of freedom and passion to his work.

The appointment of Simone Bellotti as Design Director signifies an important milestone for Bally as the brand continues to evolve and create timeless and elegant products that withstand the test of time. With his extensive industry experience and profound understanding of both ready-to-wear tailoring and accessories craftsmanship, Bellotti is well-equipped to lead the design studio and contribute to Bally’s ongoing success.
