Selfridges Chinese New Year Campaign 2022

Selfridges, renowned for its premium offerings, has recently unveiled its Chinese New Year campaign under the theme “New Year, New Beginnings.” Despite being a British-based company, Selfridges acknowledges the significance of Chinese customers, especially at its flagship store in London. The campaign comprises a diverse array of exclusive products and services available at all Selfridges outlets, along with a selection of one-of-a-kind gifts.

The “New Year, New Beginnings” initiative showcases a captivating assortment of new-season fashion pieces from top-notch brands and renowned designers, in addition to essential makeup items and chic homeware. These sought-after products are accessible at Selfridges’ London, Manchester, and Birmingham branches, as well as on their online platform.

To accommodate Chinese patrons unable to travel during the festive season, Selfridges is rolling out payment options like Alipay for in-store and online transactions, as well as WeChat Pay at all check-out counters in their stores. The festivities kick off with in-store events and engagements from January 30 to February 7, featuring tutorials, complimentary engraving services, and more from well-known brands and artists.

Notable attractions of the campaign include workshops on Chinese calligraphy and knot-making, fashion illustrations, personalized shoebox customization, complimentary engravings on leather goods, and exclusive gifts with purchases. To add a personal touch, Selfridges has debuted an editorial film produced by photographer Alexandra Leese, which spotlights London-based Chinese creatives sharing their unique perspectives and experiences on Chinese New Year.

Centered around the themes of Self-Expression, New Traditions, Union, and Looking Forward, the campaign aims to showcase how individuals of diverse backgrounds celebrate Chinese New Year while investing in their future. Selfridges has curated an inclusive experience designed to cater not only to the Chinese demographic but also to a global audience and local consumers.
