Seiko UK Opens Boutique Store on New Bond Street

Seiko UK has recently made a notable move by opening a boutique store on New Bond Street in London. This new two-storey space showcases the brand’s Seiko and Grand Seiko collections. It’s worth mentioning that this is the first time Seiko has opened a store across two floors, which speaks to the importance of the sector for the brand.

One highlight of the boutique is the separate private lounge located on the first floor. This space is dedicated to displaying the company’s prestigious Credor timepieces.

Situated at 68 New Bond Street, the store catches the eye with its impressive façade and main entrance, featuring large display windows that face a covered pedestrian passage. This passage connects New Bond Street to the newly-created Medici Court open-air meeting space, leading visitors to Hanover Square and the Bond Street station of the Elizabeth Line.

To commemorate Seiko Watch Corporation’s 140-year heritage, exclusive events will be held at the boutique. These events will provide visitors with the opportunity to view significant historical pieces on loan from the Seiko Museum in Tokyo. Additionally, guests will get a sneak peek of the latest Grand Seiko ‘Kodo’ watch, which was recently unveiled at the Watches & Wonders exhibition in Geneva.

David Edwards, the UK Managing Director of Seiko, expressed his enthusiasm about the brand’s global success, particularly in the UK and Ireland. He emphasized that the new boutique provides a distinct and luxurious space for both Seiko and Grand Seiko. This strategic positioning in London’s renowned area for luxury goods reflects the brand’s commitment to excellence.

Seiko’s decision to expand into the prominent location of New Bond Street reflects the increasing success of watch retailing. The brand’s dedication to providing a unique and exclusive shopping experience demonstrates its commitment to exceptional craftsmanship and innovative design. As Seiko continues to establish a strong presence in the luxury watch market, the opening of this flagship boutique stands as a significant milestone for the brand.
