Schiaparelli Redefines Accessible Fashion with ‘Story’ Ready-to-Wear Project

Schiaparelli, the legendary couture house based in Paris, has recently introduced an exciting ready-to-wear project aimed at redefining the boundaries of accessible fashion. Under the ownership of luxury label Tod’s boss Diego Della Valle, Schiaparelli is embarking on a new chapter by bringing the essence of haute couture to a wider audience.

The innovative project, named ‘Story’, is scheduled to be presented at the upcoming Paris Fashion Week. Each ‘Story’ collection will feature luxurious ready-to-wear pieces and accessories that draw inspiration from the rich spirit and history of Schiaparelli. Departing from the conventional fashion calendar, the label is opting for independent collection launches, focusing on curating a cohesive wardrobe that narrates the larger story of Schiaparelli’s captivating style.

The exclusive collections will be showcased at a new lounge-boutique situated at 23 Place Vendôme, Paris. This location holds significant historical value, being adjacent to the original atelier established by Elsa Schiaparelli in 1935. The opening of the lounge-boutique signifies a fresh beginning for Schiaparelli, promising customers a one-of-a-kind and immersive encounter within the world of couture.

In preparation for the new ready-to-wear line, Schiaparelli has expanded its workforce and ensured that all items are meticulously crafted in Italy and France. The inaugural collection, Story #1, pays homage to ‘Man Ray and the Schiaparelli icons’, showcasing a range of pieces with prices spanning from €300 to premium figures, embodying a mix of affordable and exclusive items.

In addition to its collaboration with confectioner Cédric Grolet and floral artist Nicolai Bergman, Schiaparelli remains dedicated to sustainability, evidenced by its conscious production practices and avoidance of overproduction.

Schiaparelli’s groundbreaking venture into ready-to-wear fashion signals a significant shift for the revered couture house. By prioritizing the art of storytelling through fashion, coupled with a strong emphasis on craftsmanship and unparalleled customer experiences, the label is setting a new industry benchmark. With the imminent release of Story #2 later this year, fashion enthusiasts eagerly await Schiaparelli’s next chapter and the innovative creations that lie ahead.
