Salvatore Ferragamo Introduces New Monogram Logo and Sustainable Collection

Salvatore Ferragamo, the renowned Italian luxury brand, has recently hopped on the logomania trend by introducing its own monogram logo. This exciting move comes at a significant time for the brand, as it gears up to welcome Bruno Gobbetti, the CEO of Burberry, at the end of 2021.

The newly crafted monogram pays homage to Salvatore Ferragamo, the brand’s founder, and features his initials – a beautifully designed capital S and F. The logo has a slight slant, adding a touch of vintage elegance to the overall design. This isn’t the brand’s first foray into logo exploration, as they previously introduced the Gancini monogram in 2019, which drew inspiration from the patterns found on the doors of their headquarters in Florence.

The launch of the new logo coincides with the release of their Fall 2021 men’s pre-collection, particularly their SF Logo line. This collection offers a wide range of accessories including belts, sneakers, moccasins, wallets, card holders, and bags. What sets this line apart is its strong commitment to sustainability, as all the products are created using recycled materials with low environmental impact. For example, the messenger bag, backpack, and briefcase in the collection are made from Econyl®, a nylon fiber derived from regenerated fishing nets and other nylon offcuts. Additionally, recycled thread is used for stitching, and the zips are made from regenerated polyester sourced from recycled plastic bottles.

To showcase their SF Logo line, Salvatore Ferragamo has launched a captivating digital ad campaign shot at the Galleria Memphis Post Design in Milan. This gallery-museum is known for its collection of iconic 1980s furniture and design objects created by the renowned Memphis group led by the talented architect/designer Ettore Sottsass. The campaign features models elegantly strolling around these unique pieces while showcasing the brand’s new collection.

With the introduction of this new monogram logo and their sustainable collection, Salvatore Ferragamo is further solidifying its commitment to innovation and the avant-garde vision of its founder. The brand continues to evolve and adapt to the ever-changing landscape of the fashion industry. As they prepare for the arrival of their new CEO, Salvatore Ferragamo remains dedicated to creating timeless, luxurious pieces while embracing sustainable practices.
