Salvatore Ferragamo Appoints Pierre La Tour as Group CFO

Italian luxury brand Salvatore Ferragamo has appointed Pierre La Tour as its new group CFO. La Tour, a highly experienced executive in the financial sector with an international career, will officially take on his new role on March 18. This decision comes after the departure of Alessandro Corsi, who had been with the company for 20 years.

In addition to serving as CFO, La Tour has also been given strategic responsibilities by the company’s Board of Directors, including overseeing administration, finance, control, and investor relations. La Tour brings a wealth of experience to the position, having previously worked in the finance department of Italian car manufacturer FIAT, where he eventually became the CFO for CNH Industrial, a subsidiary of FIAT. He later joined Italian industrial equipment supplier Biesse as CFO before joining Salvatore Ferragamo.

Salvatore Ferragamo, led by CEO Marco Gobbetti and creative director Maximilian Davis, is currently going through a transitional phase. Despite facing challenges, the luxury brand reported a revenue of €844 million in the first nine months of 2023, a decline of 9.2% compared to the previous year before accounting for exchange rate adjustments.

The appointment of La Tour as CFO reflects Salvatore Ferragamo’s desire to bring in an experienced executive with a fresh perspective from outside the luxury industry. The company is confident that La Tour’s expertise and strategic approach will contribute to its financial stability and growth in the coming years. With his international experience and financial acumen, La Tour is expected to play a key role in driving the brand’s success in an ever-evolving luxury market.
