Roberto Cavalli Resort 2024 Collection: A Daring Fusion of Colors and Prints

Roberto Cavalli Resort is back with a stunning new collection for 2024 that is sure to turn heads. Inspired by the opening season of the hit series Wild Lotus, designer Fausto Puglisi has created a collection that combines the vibrant colors of lemons, limes, and snakes. Drawing from his south Italian DNA, as well as influences from Hawaiian fauna and a blend of rock ‘n roll hippie chic, Ibiza, and Mexico vibes, Puglisi has crafted a collection that is daring yet effortlessly wearable.

The collection features dynamic separates that are perfect for the bold and fashion-forward woman. Standout pieces include large taffeta skirts adorned with wild big cat prints, offering a romantic and dramatic touch. The color palette predominantly consists of black and white, with plenty of transparency seen throughout the collection, often in the form of cotton lace. Puglisi prefers cotton lace for its versatility as it can be worn all day long. However, the real showstoppers of the collection are the prints, featuring lemons, limes, and snakes in vibrant green and white. Men and women can both enjoy variations of this striking print.

Puglisi has cleverly incorporated dynamic elements into the fabric, resulting in romantic yet sexy visions. For example, there is a Lycra body suit that seamlessly transforms into a cotton flouncy dress, finished with a ruffled trim in a black negative version of the print. The collection also includes trench coats, oversized taffeta dresses with flowy silhouettes, and statement caftan dresses in the distinctive print. Men are not left out, with bold clubbing shirts and classic stripe shirts featuring an exaggerated print placement on one shoulder.

The collection also pays tribute to the Wild West with sleek leather pantsuits and bomber jackets featuring saddle stitching in desert hues. Sicilian coral accents from Trapani, including a great series of belts, add an extra touch of elegance to the looks. And in a nod to the first series of Wild Lotus set in Hawaii, a mesmerizing mashup print of leopards, snakes, tropical flowers, and palms adorns head-turning dresses, saucy column dresses, and strong looks with jeans. The tailoring in the collection is impeccable, with sartorial rocker undertaker looks for men and chic beige window-pane power suits for women.

The collection boasts approximately 60 looks, ranging from easy-to-wear silk jersey columns in a lively and flirtatious pattern to more captivating and bucolic sailor-inspired pieces. Since its acquisition by Emirati billionaire Hussain Sajwani’s Damac Properties in 2019, Roberto Cavalli has experienced a revitalization. This can be seen not only in the Resort 2024 collection but also in projects such as the Versace-designed Damac Tower in London’s Nine Elms district and the acquisition of jeweler De Grisogono in recent years.

Roberto Cavalli Resort 2024 collection effortlessly merges different inspirations and styles to create a bold and captivating lineup that caters to the diverse characters within the brand’s customer base. With its blend of Italian craftsmanship and international influences, the collection reaffirms Roberto Cavalli’s position as a fashion force to be reckoned with.
