Rixo Store Reopens in Marylebone

Rixo, the popular vintage-inspired fashion retailer, has recently reopened its store on Marylebone High Street in London after undergoing an extensive revamp. The newly refreshed store features a similar aesthetic to its flagship store on the King’s Road, but with a more intimate and boutique atmosphere.

The design of the space was a joint effort between Rixo and the interior design studio Cúpla. One of the standout features of the store is a series of elegant arches that beautifully frame the clothes, creating a visually stunning display. In addition, bespoke areas have been incorporated to showcase Rixo’s accessories, while classical mouldings have been seamlessly integrated into the design as a nod to Marylebone’s classical architecture and rich heritage.

To ensure the store’s uniqueness, Rixo enlisted the help of local artisans to create handmade fixtures and fittings. For example, artist Sam Wood designed and hand-painted illustrations that can be found throughout the space. London-based Haxch was responsible for crafting the clothing rails, while a talented blacksmith from West London created a magnificent full-length wrought iron mirror exclusively for the store.

The fitting rooms have also received special attention with bespoke stripe curtains made from 100% recycled bottles, commissioned from Colours of Arley. And to add a touch of elegance to the flooring, Ca Pietra chequerboard tiles in terracotta and neutral tones were carefully chosen. Additionally, the store features vibrant yellow zig-zag stripe wallpaper from Salvesen Graham, injecting a burst of color and personality into the space.

To maintain a harmonious look, Cúpla made sure to incorporate antique furniture pieces throughout the store. This adds a sense of charm and nostalgia, perfectly complementing Rixo’s vintage-inspired fashion.

The store itself offers the entire range of Rixo’s collection, including ready-to-wear, occasion wear, bridal wear, bridesmaid dresses, and accessories. In a departure from traditional retail setups, the store aims to provide customers with a concept store shopping experience. All product styles are displayed on the shop floor, allowing customers to easily browse and explore the diverse offerings. Furthermore, the fitting rooms have been upgraded to accommodate up to three customers at a time, enhancing the convenience and efficiency of the shopping experience.

The newly refreshed Rixo store in Marylebone is a testament to the brand’s dedication to offering a unique and immersive shopping experience. With its meticulous attention to detail, collaboration with local artisans, and incorporation of vintage elements, the revamped store truly captures the essence of Rixo’s vintage-inspired fashion.
