Rixo Opens Third Store in London and Emphasizes Sustainability

Rixo, the well-known second-hand fashion retailer, has made a bold move by opening its third store in London, located on the popular King’s Road. This opening has garnered significant attention as it coincides with World Earth Week, solidifying Rixo’s dedication to sustainability and eco-conscious fashion.

The founders of Rixo, Henrietta Rix and Orlagh McCloskey, have built their business on a shared love for vintage clothing and sustainable fashion. Their newest store, sprawling across an impressive 5,000 square feet, not only showcases their stylish collection but also introduces various initiatives promoting their philosophy of reducing consumption and encouraging customers to wear their clothes for longer.

Of all the incredible additions to the Rixo brand, one that stands out is Rixo Rental. This groundbreaking service allows customers to rent their favorite pieces for special occasions. Presently, the rental collection offers an impressive 26 styles, with prices starting at a budget-friendly £39 for a four-day rental period. The inclusive range of sizes, from UK 6 to 20, ensures accessibility for all. Furthermore, Rixo Rental also offers a selection of beautiful Rixo Bridal pieces for rent, catering to brides-to-be.

Rixo is also introducing a unique exchange program exclusively at their King’s Road store. Customers can bring in their pre-loved Rixo garments and receive a voucher to put towards purchasing a new item. These previously owned pieces will be rejuvenated and sold at the store at a more affordable price compared to the main collection. It’s crucial to note that this exchange program is only available at the King’s Road location and not at Rixo’s other stores in Carnaby Street and Marylebone.

Returning to their origins, Rix and McCloskey will curate a one-of-a-kind collection of vintage pieces sourced from around the world. Known as ‘True Vintage,’ this special selection will encompass a range of clothing, jewelry, and accessories, catering to different price points. From affordable vintage cotton blouses to luxurious vintage Pucci dresses, the True Vintage collection promises customers a unique shopping experience.

Rixo’s King’s Road store serves as a testament to the brand’s unwavering commitment to sustainability and innovation in the fashion industry. By offering rental options, encouraging garment recycling, and curating a collection of vintage pieces, Rixo is setting an example for a more conscious and responsible approach to fashion consumption.
