Rimowa Expands Product Offerings with Launch of Sunglasses Collection

LVMH’s luxury luggage brand, Rimowa, is expanding its product offerings with the launch of its first sunglasses collection on July 9th. This foray into eyewear comes after Rimowa’s previous collaboration with independent designer Garrett Leight California Optical to create a mini-collection earlier this year, showcasing their interest in this field. Now, Rimowa is taking a bold step forward by introducing two lines of unisex sunglasses named Bridge and Rim.

Inspired by the world of aviation, just like Rimowa’s renowned suitcases, the new collections feature designs that pay homage to aircraft aesthetics. Among the models available are Pilot, Square, and Pantos, which incorporate unique details such as grooves, monogram elements, and rivet accents.

Alexandre Arnault, the CEO of Rimowa, sees this eyewear project as the first step towards establishing a larger ecosystem for the brand. He believes that the sunglasses truly capture their design values and will pave the way for a series of future products. While Rimowa has primarily focused on luggage and accessories, their reputation has been elevated in recent years through collaborations with renowned artists like Daniel Arsham and Alex Israel. Additionally, partnerships with fashion houses and streetwear labels such as Dior, Moncler, Supreme, and Off-White have further solidified Rimowa’s position in the fashion industry.

Customers can now explore and purchase the Rimowa Eyewear collection in selected stores and through Rimowa’s e-shop. As Rimowa continues to expand its offerings, the brand’s dedication to timeless design and innovative collaborations remains evident.
