Rebag and ThredUp Announce Partnership

Rebag and ThredUp are pleased to announce their exciting new partnership, which merges the luxury expertise of Rebag with ThredUp’s online resale platform. The main objective of this collaboration is to broaden the range of resale services available and provide more options for both Rebag and ThredUp customers.

As part of this partnership, Rebag customers now have the opportunity to sell gently-used luxury items on ThredUp in exchange for Rebag shopping credit. This not only allows Rebag customers to declutter their closets but also earn credit towards new purchases. On the other hand, ThredUp customers can access a curated selection of Rebag inventory directly on ThredUp’s website. This gives them the chance to purchase unique and high-end handbags from luxury brands such as Chanel, Christian Dior, Gucci, Hermes, and Louis Vuitton.

The heart of this partnership lies in Rebag’s Clean Out program, which is powered by ThredUp’s Resale-as-a-Service (RaaS). Through this program, Rebag customers can now send in a wider range of items for resale. With ThredUp’s extensive marketplace, which includes over 55,000 brands across 100 categories, Rebag customers can offer a more diverse selection of closet items for resale.

Furthermore, ThredUp users can explore and purchase Rebag items directly on the ThredUp platform, expanding their options for luxury accessories. In the near future, Rebag plans to add more product categories, including watches and fine jewelry.

Both Rebag and ThredUp are committed to promoting sustainability and circular fashion. This partnership aims to encourage more shoppers to participate in resale and make more sustainable shopping choices. Charles Gorra, the founder and CEO of Rebag, expressed his excitement about the partnership and the opportunity to offer an incredible selection of luxury accessories to new customers through ThredUp. James Reinhart, CEO of ThredUp, emphasized the importance of industry collaboration in building a sustainable future for fashion.

To further promote circular shopping and sustainable fashion choices, Rebag and ThredUp plan to collaborate on educational initiatives and content. They will also be hosting a giveaway for their social media followers next month.

This partnership between Rebag and ThredUp is a significant milestone in the expanding resale market. By joining forces, these two companies are creating new opportunities for customers to buy and sell luxury items in a more sustainable and accessible way. As the demand for second-hand shopping continues to grow, collaborations like this are essential in propelling the fashion industry towards a more sustainable future.
