In celebration of its 50th anniversary, Ralph Lauren has introduced a new app called “Polo” that aims to connect with fans in a unique and interactive way. The app offers exclusive access to limited-edition products and special content, creating a community for loyal followers of the iconic brand. Users can shop for featured items, explore editorial features, and even participate in interactive elements like voting on product designs. The addition of an “Ask Ralph” section allows fans to engage with the designer himself by submitting questions.

David Lauren, the brand’s chief innovation officer, expressed the app’s goal to provide a personalized experience for users through curated collections and unique content that differentiate Ralph Lauren from its competitors. With a focus on attracting a younger demographic, the app serves as a digital platform to broaden the brand’s appeal and engage with a wider audience than ever before.

As part of the launch, the “Polo” app features an exclusive capsule collection in collaboration with the New York Yankees, a team that has a special place in Ralph Lauren’s heart. This collection includes a satin baseball jacket, a baseball cap by New Era, a Wilson baseball glove, and a Rawlings commemorative baseball. The release of this capsule coincides with the brand’s anniversary celebrations, highlighted by a star-studded event during New York Fashion Week at Bethesda Terrace in Central Park.

Renowned industry figures like Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, and Diane von Furstenberg, along with celebrities such as Oprah Winfrey, Bruce Springsteen, and Jessica Chastain attended the event. Exclusive behind-the-scenes photos from the celebration can now be viewed on the “Polo” app. The app is currently available for download in North America via Apple iTunes, with plans for a global expansion next year.
