Ralph Lauren and Fortnite Collaboration: ‘Polo Stadium’ Collection

Ralph Lauren and the popular video game Fortnite have joined forces in an exciting collaboration to launch a unique collection of apparel and accessories. Known as the ‘Polo Stadium’ collection, it takes inspiration from Ralph Lauren’s ‘Stadium’ collection and ‘Polo Sport line’ from the 1990s, giving them a fresh twist for the digital world. This collaboration is particularly noteworthy as it marks the first time in Ralph Lauren’s 55-year history that its iconic Polo Pony logo has been reimagined.

The collection will be available in two forms: a digital collection within the game and a physical capsule collection. The digital collection will include two outfits with alternate styles, along with additional in-game cosmetics. Players can purchase these items in the Fortnite Item Shop, starting from November 5. On the other hand, the physical apparel capsule collection will be exclusively available on RalphLauren.com, starting from November 2. On December 1, a global product drop will take place across various platforms, including RalphLauren.com, The Ralph Lauren App, the Polo-67 App, select Ralph Lauren retail stores, and specialty retailers.

David Lauren, the chief branding and innovation officer at Ralph Lauren, expressed his excitement about the collaboration, stating that it offers a groundbreaking experience for a new generation of players and consumers. He emphasized that the partnership represents a fresh perspective on the Ralph Lauren brand, with a focus on designing for the metaverse first. Ralph Lauren aims to maintain its leadership in digital exploration and build on its history of pioneering innovation.

To celebrate the launch, Ralph Lauren has planned a series of engaging activities to involve the gaming community. This includes a livestream launch event on Twitch and a global player tournament in Fortnite called ‘The Polo Stadium Cup.’ Participants in the tournament will have the opportunity to earn in-game rewards, including early access to the Ralph Lauren outfits and accessories. The tournament will take place on November 4 in locations where Fortnite is available.

Adam Sussman, the president of Epic Games (the owner of Fortnite), stressed the significance of self-expression in the player experience within Fortnite. He believes that the combination of Ralph Lauren’s iconic design history, the versatility of Unreal Engine, and the unique style of Fortnite has resulted in an inspiring campaign and timeless looks that will be loved by players worldwide. This collaboration aims to bridge the gap between the worlds of fashion and gaming, capturing the attention of fashion and gaming enthusiasts alike.
