PVH Corp Welcomes Tom Chu as Regional President of Asia Pacific

PVH Corp., the parent company renowned for its iconic brands Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger, has recently welcomed Tom Chu as the regional president of PVH Asia Pacific, starting from February 1, 2020. With a successful tenure as the president of PVH Japan, where he led brand strategies for Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger in the region, Chu brings a wealth of experience to his new role.

During his time in Japan, Chu played a pivotal role in repositioning the Tommy Hilfiger business and relaunching Calvin Klein Jeans products in the Japanese market. His leadership experience also includes roles in distinguished companies such as Cole Haan, Hugo Boss, and Godiva, showcasing his expertise in the fashion industry.

As Chu transitions to his new position, he will be reporting to Stefan Larsson, the president of PVH. Larsson expressed confidence in Chu’s abilities, emphasizing that his proven track record and management skills will contribute to PVH’s continued expansion in Asia. The company’s strategy remains centered on leveraging the strength of its brands, engaging with consumers, and driving sustainable growth in one of its fastest-growing regions.

This announcement comes at a time of growth for PVH, with the company recently raising its full-year adjusted profit forecast after surpassing expectations in the third quarter. The strong demand for Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger products in Europe has been a significant contributing factor to the 2.5% increase in total revenue to $2.59 billion, underscoring PVH’s success and strategic position in the global fashion market.

As Chu embarks on his new role, PVH continues its commitment to delivering innovative and on-trend fashion to consumers worldwide. His appointment reinforces PVH’s dedication to leadership excellence and ongoing expansion in key markets.
