Pucci to Host Fashion Show in Rome, Celebrating Iconic Vivara Print

Pucci, the renowned Italian fashion label, is gearing up to host an eagerly anticipated fashion show in Rome on April 4, 2024. Leading the brand’s creative vision since September 2021, Camille Miceli, the creative director of Pucci, has been instrumental in shaping the brand’s unique aesthetic.

The upcoming show will be a celebration of Vivara, one of Pucci’s most iconic prints that has been a staple in the brand’s archives since 1965. This particular print holds immense historical significance and serves as a testament to Pucci’s rich heritage.

While the exact location of the show is yet to be revealed, this announcement solidifies Pucci’s new strategy of showcasing itinerant collections that are immediately available for purchase. This innovative “see now, buy now” approach allows customers to directly access and own the collections they see on the runway. Pucci first embraced this immersive concept with a presentation in Capri, followed by a showcase in the picturesque Swiss ski resort of Saint-Moritz. Later on, Miceli organized the brand’s first official fashion show in Florence in May of the same year, further establishing Pucci’s novel direction.

Since its inception in Florence in 1947 by Emilio Pucci, the brand has constantly strived to reconnect with its roots. Pucci’s resort philosophy epitomizes a vibrant lifestyle, characterized by the use of lighter fabrics and a vivacious color palette. In 2021, Pucci was acquired by LVMH, a luxury conglomerate, which took full ownership after holding partial stakes in the brand since 2000. The new ownership enabled Pucci to boldly disrupt the traditional formats and seasonal cycles prevalent in the luxury industry. As a result, the brand has successfully attracted a younger clientele, breathing new life into its legacy.

With the grand fashion show in Rome on the horizon, all eyes will be on Pucci as it continues to redefine itself and captivate audiences with its distinctive aesthetic and rich heritage. This showcase will undoubtedly mark a significant milestone in Pucci’s journey of reinvention under the creative direction of Camille Miceli.
