Pucci Returns to its Origins with Exhilarating Fashion Show in Florence

Pucci, the renowned Italian fashion house, is returning to its origins with an exhilarating fashion show set to take place in its founding city of Florence. The creative director of Pucci, Camille Miceli, is preparing to orchestrate her very first show for the brand on May 4th, an event that holds great significance for the ongoing relaunch of the iconic label.

For her first two seasons at the helm, Miceli opted for presenting Pucci’s collections in extraordinary and picturesque locations. In April 2022, the fashion house showcased its designs on the enchanting island of Capri, which was a favored hotspot for the jet-set crowd during the dazzling era of the 1960s. And just this past December, Pucci debuted its collection in the luxurious alpine resort of Saint-Moritz, Switzerland.

However, this time around, Pucci has decided to shake things up and embark on a new strategy. While keeping the details closely guarded, the brand cryptically reveals that Miceli will be elevating Pucci’s energy to the next level with an unexpected show. The anticipation among fashion enthusiasts and industry insiders is palpable, as they eagerly await the breathtaking surprises that the fashion house has in store.

The upcoming collection, aptly titled “Initials E.P.,” serves as a homage to Emilio Pucci, the visionary founder of the brand. This collection delves deep into the roots of the house while infusing it with a refreshing and contemporary twist. Following the successful approach of the previous two seasons, Pucci will make the collection available for immediate purchase on the day of its presentation to the press and the public, adhering to the popular “see now, buy now” format.

Having acquired a majority stake of 67% in Pucci back in 2000, luxury conglomerate LVMH has been instrumental in the brand’s journey. In June 2021, LVMH solidified its ownership by acquiring the remaining 33% shares previously held by the Pucci family and Laudomia Pucci, the daughter of the brand’s founder. As part of Pucci’s evolution and consolidation, the headquarters and operations have been relocated to the fashion capital of Milan.

The forthcoming fashion show in Florence carries not only emotional weight as a homecoming for Pucci but also signifies a pivotal moment in the brand’s reinvention and rejuvenation. Under the creative direction of Camille Miceli, Pucci continues to mesmerize fashion enthusiasts by paying tribute to its illustrious heritage while pushing boundaries with unexpected and exhilarating shows.
