Prada Unveils Winter Sports-Inspired Pop-Up Installation

Prada has recently unveiled a winter sports-inspired pop-up installation at Galeries Lafayette Champs-Elysées in Paris. The unique retail space, named “Prada On Ice,” occupies the entire ground floor of the department store and showcases Prada’s latest collection of winter activity equipment.

“Prada On Ice” offers visitors an immersive experience, with various winter sports-themed elements throughout the installation. There is a bobsleigh track set up in the store’s tunnel, a ski descent on the stairs, and mannequins showcasing the equipment on snowboards. The attention to detail and innovation in this brand operation truly sets Prada apart.

The installation features a tricolor layout, reminiscent of ice hockey rink lines, allowing the collection to take center stage. Prada’s new winter equipment range includes sleds, snowshoes, sleeping bags, as well as stylish ready-to-wear items like ski shoes, masks, padded jackets, and jersey outfits. This comprehensive collection provides all the essentials for skiing and other winter activities in style.

The immersive space created by Prada allows visitors to transport themselves to the most beautiful ski resorts, making them feel as though they are already on their winter vacation. The “Prada On Ice” pop-up has also been launched in various other locations worldwide, including China, New York, Copenhagen, Beverly Hills, Tokyo, Milan, and Moscow.

This series of installations is part of Prada’s strategic communication campaign leading up to the 2022 Winter Olympics. The brand has partnered with high-level athletes, such as snowboarder Julia Marino and freestyle skier Gus Kenworthy, to promote their winter sports collection. Prada understands the significance of global sports competitions in shaping consumer trends, making their timing for this initiative very strategic.

Overall, Prada’s exclusive winter sports pop-up at Galeries Lafayette Champs-Elysées showcases their dedication to innovation and their ability to create immersive brand experiences. Whether one is an avid winter sports enthusiast or simply seeking stylish winter gear, the “Prada On Ice” installation offers something for everyone.
