Prada to Unveil Second TimeCapsule NFT Drop

Prada, the renowned Italian luxury house, is gearing up to unveil its second drop, showcasing a fusion of physical and digital elements through the incorporation of an NFT creation. With this launch, Prada aims to exemplify its dedication to the environment and eco-design.

Back in December 2019, Prada unveiled the TimeCapsule project, an innovative concept that involved the release of a limited-edition product for just 24 hours on the brand’s official website. Each item was uniquely numbered and packaged.

In June of this year, in celebration of its 30th capsule, Prada injected an extra dimension into the initiative by offering an NFT creation alongside the physical product. Collaborating with renowned artist Cassius Hirst, this release also marked Prada’s debut on the Discord social network, with a dedicated community called “Prada Crypted.”

Capitalizing on the exclusivity of these physical and digital products, Prada now aims to replicate the success of the previous launch by announcing a new TimeCapsule NFT. This time, the focus will be on a series of 50 short-sleeved shirts that showcase circular design principles through the use of upcycled materials sourced from the brand’s archives.

Similar to the previous initiative, each NFT will be associated with a specific drop number and product number. Powered by Ethereum and supported by the Aura solution, a blockchain consortium co-founded by Prada Group, LVMH, Cartier, OTB, and Mercedes-Benz, the NFT will bestow its owner with privileged access to future drops as well as a range of exclusive benefits and experiences.

The highly anticipated launch of the next TimeCapsule NFT is scheduled for July 7th. Previously, the demand for these items was so intense that they sold out within mere seconds.
