Prada to Debut Co-Designed Collection at Virtual Milan Fashion Week

Milan Fashion Week is fast approaching and fashion lovers are eagerly counting down the days until they get to witness the highly anticipated debut of the first Prada collection co-designed by Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons. The event details have finally been unveiled, revealing that Prada has decided to go the virtual route for their showcase. This decision follows the success of their virtual presentation of the menswear collection last July.

The upcoming Spring/Summer 2021 womenswear collection will be presented live online, accompanied by a series of physical events scheduled around the world. The catwalk show will be livestreamed on September 24th as part of Milan Fashion Week, which will be conducted in a phygital format from September 22-28. This innovative format will combine physical shows with digital presentations, offering a unique and immersive experience for viewers.

Alongside the virtual showcase, Prada has announced a range of global initiatives that prioritize health and safety. These initiatives will include local screenings at exclusive venues with viewing kits delivered to homes for the digital broadcast, as well as virtual events in key cities like New York, Los Angeles, Paris, London, and more.

One standout event to watch out for is the special gathering at Prada’s Rong Zhai residence in Shanghai. Attendees will have the rare chance to watch the live stream in the historic building’s rooms followed by a private party. This demonstrates Prada’s commitment to blending tradition with modern innovation in presenting their latest collection amidst the current global challenges. Milan Fashion Week attendees are in for an exciting mix of virtual and physical showcases that showcase the creativity and vision of Prada.
