Prada Group Joins Milan’s ‘Forestami’ Green Project

The Prada group is taking another step towards sustainability by joining the “Forestami” green project, an initiative organized by the city of Milan. The project’s objective is to plant three million trees in the city, contributing to the regeneration of nature and the creation of green spaces.

Highlighting the importance of green spaces, the Prada group is participating in a conference on biodiversity and workspaces, emphasizing the integration of sustainability into corporate social responsibility. The conference aims to explore how companies can incorporate sustainable practices into their premises and internal installations.

As part of this commitment, the Prada group is unveiling its new architectural initiative at its logistics center in Levanella. The initiative includes a cafeteria with a 1,500-square-meter green pergola, showcasing their dedication to creating sustainable and environmentally friendly spaces.

The collaboration with “Forestami” aligns with the growing trend of luxury brands embracing sustainability. The LVMH group refers to this movement as “New Luxury,” which emphasizes the need for harmony between humans and nature. Luxury brands across various sectors, such as Breitling, Balmain, Evian, and Le Meurice, are incorporating sustainable practices into their operations, responding to the expectations of environmentally conscious consumers, particularly younger generations.

By partnering with “Forestami,” the Prada group is contributing to the city of Milan’s goal of planting three million trees by 2030. This partnership reinforces Prada Group’s dedication to sustainability, following their recent recognition at the Sustainable Fashion Awards 2022, where they received the Oceans Award for their “Sea Beyond” initiative. The group’s eponymous brand has also been combining sustainable commitments with technological advancements through projects like a recent TimeCapsule drop, which utilized upcycled materials and NFTs.

The importance of sustainability in the premium industry is further highlighted in a FUTUR & LUXE webinar and special edition magazine. This resource provides valuable insights and information on sustainable practices within the industry.
