Piquadro Sees Impressive Sales Surge Driven by Lancel Brand

Sales for the Italian leather goods group Piquadro have seen an impressive surge in revenue over a nine-month period, largely driven by the influential Lancel brand. The latest financial reports reveal a remarkable 50.5% growth, resulting in a total consolidated revenue of €107.3 million. This significant increase follows the acquisition of the prestigious French handbag label Lancel in June of the previous year, which contributed €32.2 million in sales and accounted for 45.1% of Piquadro’s overall revenue growth.

In addition to Lancel’s strong performance, Piquadro experienced a modest growth rate of 2.5%, reaching sales of €54.6 million. Meanwhile, The Bridge, another brand within the group, saw a notable increase of 13.8%, generating €20.5 million in revenue. Italy remains the primary market for the Piquadro group, with sales totaling €57.9 million and showing a 7.5% growth in the country. The group also demonstrated impressive growth across Europe, with a staggering 198.9% increase compared to the previous year. Revenue from the rest of the world also experienced a substantial rise of 62% during the same period.

Under the leadership of founder Marco Palmieri, the Piquadro group operates 189 monobrand stores worldwide. With 105 Piquadro stores, 14 locations for The Bridge, and 70 stores for Lancel, the group has a strong presence in over 50 countries. The acquisition of Lancel has undoubtedly been a key factor in Piquadro’s recent success, paving the way for a promising future for the renowned Italian leather goods group.
