Parisian fashion label Sézane has made two significant hires at the start of 2023, strengthening its position in the upmarket segment of the fashion industry. The brand has brought on board two former executives from luxury conglomerate LVMH, demonstrating its commitment to further establishing itself as a leading player in the luxury fashion market.
Arnaud Ameline, a graduate of HEC business school, has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer. Ameline brings over 16 years of experience from LVMH-owned Christian Dior Couture, where he held various key roles, including Head of Supply Chain, Logistics, Omni-Channel Operations, and Product Quality. With his extensive knowledge and expertise in the luxury sector, Ameline is a valuable asset to the Sézane team.
Joining Sézane as Omni-Channel Director is Antoine Auvinet. Auvinet previously worked at LVMH-owned Celine and held the position of Vice-President of Omni-Channel. With his experience at French luxury label Celine, as well as his background at prominent brands such as Bally, Cartier, and Harry Winston, Auvinet brings a wealth of industry knowledge to Sézane.
Founded in 2013 by Morgane Sézalory and Thibault Lougnon, Sézane currently operates 12 monobrand stores in key cities around the world. These cities include Paris, Aix-en-Provence, Lille, Bordeaux, New York, London, and Madrid. The brand is set to further expand its retail presence by opening a new store in Paris’s Marais district in the near future. In September 2022, Sézane sold a stake to Téthys Invest, the investment firm of the Bettencourt-Meyers family, who also own beauty giant L’Oréal.
As Sézane prepares to celebrate its 10th anniversary this year, the brand has exciting plans to diversify its offerings with the launch of its first makeup line. With the addition of Ameline as Chief Operating Officer and Auvinet as Omni-Channel Director, Sézane is well-equipped to continue its growth in the luxury fashion market and solidify its position as a leading brand in the industry.
