Pandora Announces Departure of Chief Marketing Officer Carla Liuni

Pandora, the Danish jewellery brand, has recently announced the departure of its chief marketing officer, Carla Liuni. Liuni had been with the company for two years and had previously held positions at luxury jeweller Bulgari and consumer goods giant Procter and Gamble. Her tenure at Pandora will come to an end in March, as she has decided to return to her native Italy.

During her time at Pandora, Liuni played a crucial role in the brand’s growth and success. She expressed her happiness and pride in being a part of the company’s exciting journey, highlighting that Pandora touches the lives of millions of consumers. Liuni also emphasized that the Pandora brand has become stronger than ever, with widespread recognition and growing interest among consumers, particularly women. However, her desire to be closer to her family in Italy led to her decision to step down.

In the wake of Liuni’s departure, Pandora CEO Alexander Lacik will assume her responsibilities and oversee global marketing until a suitable replacement is found. Lacik acknowledged Liuni’s personal reasons for leaving and expressed his gratitude for her contributions to the company’s turnaround. He also pointed out the record-high results achieved in 2021, which demonstrate the strength of the Pandora brand. Lacik further mentioned the company’s plans to drive accelerated growth in 2022 and beyond.

In recent years, Pandora has made significant investments in its marketing strategy. The brand introduced a new organizational structure in 2020, with a focus on digital capabilities, data analytics, and brand partnerships to appeal to a younger demographic. Pandora also recruited top marketing executives from renowned global brands to strengthen its teams. Besides, the company unveiled new product lines, such as the sustainably lab-created diamonds collection “Brilliance,” and the relaunch of Pandora Me, targeting Generation Z and Millennials. Most recently, Pandora partnered with Marvel to release a collaborative capsule collection.

Pandora’s continuous efforts to enhance its marketing capabilities and expand its product offerings have contributed to its strong brand recognition and growth. As the company looks toward the future, it remains committed to prioritizing its marketing initiatives to engage consumers and drive further success in the competitive jewellery industry.
