OTB Focuses on American Market with Appointment of Laura Dubin-Wander as CEO of Designer Brands in North America

OTB, the Italian fashion group owned by Renzo Rosso, has recently announced its focus on the American market. The company has appointed Laura Dubin-Wander as the CEO of Only The Brave’s designer brands in North America. Dubin-Wander, who previously worked at Coach, will be responsible for overseeing the operations of Maison Margiela, Marni, Jil Sander, and Staff International, which holds exclusive licenses for brands such as Dquared2 and Just Cavalli. She replaces Monica Voltolina, who led OTB’s luxury houses in the U.S. for 12 years.

With more than 25 years of experience in the fashion sector, Dubin-Wander brings valuable expertise to her new role. During her time at Coach, she developed a customer-centric strategy and implemented a new omnichannel approach for the American market. Before that, she held executive positions at Christian Dior and Givenchy, playing a crucial role in their growth and success.

Ubaldo Minelli, CEO of OTB, emphasizes the strategic importance of the United States and the need to invest in top talent to ensure the group’s growth in the region. OTB has been actively expanding its presence in the North American market, with plans to open six new stores in the coming months. In addition, the company holds a minority stake in the California-based brand Amiri. North America currently accounts for 10% of OTB’s total revenues, and with these new developments and investments, the group aims to strengthen its position further.

By the end of this year, OTB will have a total of 27 stores in the U.S., including locations for Diesel, Marni, and Maison Margiela. The group’s commitment to expanding its retail footprint demonstrates its confidence in the American market’s potential and its dedication to offering unique and high-quality fashion options to its customers.

With the appointment of Laura Dubin-Wander, OTB sends a strong signal about the importance of the American market for its future growth. Leveraging Dubin-Wander’s extensive experience and expertise in the fashion industry, OTB aims to continue its success in North America and solidify its position as a leading global fashion player. With plans to open new stores and investments in exciting brands, OTB is set to capture the attention of American consumers and elevate its presence in the region.
